I began my writing "career" at the age of eleven. It was then that I had run out of Hardy Boys books to read (there were 43 in print at that time). To fill the void, I ingested the entire Nancy Drew series supplied by a neighbor. Once THOSE were exhausted I wrote my own plot for a Hardy Boys book using my dad's old (and loud) manual, Royal typewriter. Thirty single-spaced pages later I proclaimed it finished. The characters were Franklin W. Dixon's, but the story was mine.

My career after college wasn't in Journalism, but out of necessity, I write numerous magazine articles and short stories.

Born in the center of the USA and reared in the mid-South, I spent my formative years creating my own adventures with my friends. Later, as an ordained minister, husband, father, and grandfather, I never lost the sense of adventure or the fascination of a wholesome mystery. Those fun and intriguing elements are found in my first trilogy, The Bon Air Boys Adventure Series. I hope that you, your children, or your grandchildren enjoy them as much today as I did when writing them.
