Simon Potter

Simon Potter has written about an eclectic variety of subjects: fiction (the novel "Dressing as Julia" was awarded a GLOBAL BOOK AWARD in 2023), motorcycle trike and sidecar conversions, award-winning poetry and literary commentaries on Shakespeare, a review of collectable die-cast models, memoirs and pure history. What knits them together is the humour that underlies every human activity, and its wonderful diversity. He directed nearly 70 plays and musicals for young people between 1972 and 2022 and was surprised and pleased to be awarded an MBE in 2016 for this work. Simon was Head of English for 21 years in the college in London, England where he is now part-time. As a "hybrid" author Simon has had 12 books produced by various publishers and 7 self-published through his own publishing imprint. He plans to bring out another novel in the next year and has just released a book about the fun and horrors of producing school plays.
