A retired U.S. Air Force major, Malcolm holds degrees in chemistry and business and a doctorate in organizational leadership. His career has included military service, teaching future Air Force officers, and consulting in process improvement and organizational effectiveness. Those experiences—combined with a lifelong fascination with history, science, technology, and strategy—help give his fictional worlds their distinctive depth.
