Debbie Pyka

I'm Debbie Pyka, mother of Joseph Chernach. I live in Wisconsin with my husband. I have 5 children and 6 grandchildren. I wrote chapter 4 in our book Brain Damaged-Two Minute Warning for Parents. Since my son's death I am active in the AFSP Out of the Darkness Walks for suicide prevention and I have collaborated with brain banks by contacting medical examiners and families to assist with brain donations to advanced research. I'm one of the co-founders of Faces of CTE and Save Your Brain and work with Child Athlete Advocates for brain donations.
