Mitchell Boling

Mitchell Boling has always enjoyed writing, and after thinking about it for twenty years, he finally sat down and wrote his first book, Leadership: A View From the Middle, self-published in 2019. In a collection of real-life experiences that is part leadership lesson and part memoir, he drew on his 25 years in the U.S. Air Force to write the book.

Writing became his passion. His second book, Leading From the Middle: Teachers and Coaches, was self-published in 2021. After receiving accolades and suggestions from readers, he decided to write a novel. His debut novel, Persian Tomcats, was self-published in 2022.

Having discovered his love for fiction, he quickly followed it up with a sequel, The Last Persian Tomcat, only seven months later. But the love didn’t stop there. He made it a trilogy and released Persian Dragons in early 2024.

This trilogy of novels spawned SHOOTERS ROLL in late 2024, a feature film screenplay based on the first novel, Persian Tomcats. After receiving numerous accolades in various Screenplay Competitions, including an Official Selection in the Military Story Showcase and a Semi-Finalist in the Action & Adventure Screenplay Competition in 2025, he quickly added a sequel.

SHOOTERS ROLL AGAIN, a feature screenplay based on the second novel, was written in 2025. It also garnered honors in Screenplay Competitions. It was named a Finalist in the WIKI: World’s Fastest Screenplay Competition and a Semi-Finalist in the Best Script Awards in London.

A third screenplay based on Persian Dragons is in the works to complete the trilogy as an epic film series. He also added a short screenplay, BEST RIDE EVER, to his repertoire. All of his screenplays are currently for sale.

After completing the screenplays, the Shooters Roll series of novels came back to him, and he sat down to write Alarm Blue, the fourth novel in the series. Published in 2026, it is the exciting continuation of the now-called Chris and Victoria Gray Series. Based in South Korea, he used his experience stationed there in the U.S. Air Force to bring the story to life.
