MJ O'Neill

MJ O’Neill is an award-winning mystery author, entrepreneur, and lifelong believer in the power of a good question. Her love of mysteries began as a dyslexic kid who relied on Nancy Drew and Trixie Belden to survive the dreaded book report and discovered along the way that stories could make sense of a world that didn't always cooperate.

Her fiction ranges from small-town mysteries filled with second chances, complicated relationships, and the occasional zombie to darker stories about the secrets people keep and the stories we tell ourselves about what happened. Her professional writing career began when she discovered fiction was a considerably safer way to “murder customers” than she could the real ones in her chocolate factory.

When she isn't writing, MJ is usually chasing another question, another story, or the next place worth getting lost in. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with a family that has long since learned not to ask why her search history contains quite so many suspicious questions.
