Molly McMaster Morgoslepov

After being diagnosed with colon cancer at 23, Molly McMaster Morgoslepov began raising awareness of the disease in “out-of-the-box ways.” She has inline skated from New York to Colorado, conceived of the Colossal Colon, a 40-foot-long, 4-foot-tall crawl through replica of a human colon, and is one of only a few women in the world to have played men’s professional ice hockey in the United Hockey League when the UHL Cross-Checked Colon Cancer in March of 2006. Molly is also co-Founder of The Colon Club, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness of colorectal cancer, especially in young people. The Colon Club is the organization responsible for the Colondar, a calendar of young survivors of colon cancer. Now called On the Rise, the Colondar has been transformed into a full-color magazine that raises awareness of all aspects of the disease, while still bringing young survivors together.

In February of 2019, to celebrate 20 years cancer-free and as a “gift to herself,” Molly released her memoir – One Drop of Rain: Creating a Wave of Colon Cancer Awareness. It chronicles her journey through cancer and her fight back. Available on Amazon, a portion of the sale of every book goes back to The Colon Club to help further its mission.

Molly lives in upstate New York with her husband, Sergei, and their two sons, Kyril and Maks. She is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and a gym owner of both Saratoga Ninja Lab in Malta, NY and Albany Ninja Lab in Albany, NY. She is also a USA Hockey Level 4 Coach, having coached ice hockey for more than twenty years.
