Lee Stone is a British journalist and thriller writer who began his debut novel Fearless while embedded with the BBC at Camp Bastion, Afghanistan, during Operation Herrick 13. The proximity to real conflict gives his fiction an authenticity that most thriller writers can only approximate.
He has co-written two novels with James Patterson — Break Point, set against the backdrop of Wimbledon, and Dead Heat, set at the Rio Olympics — published as part of the Bookshots series. He shares an agent with Lee Child and Martina Cole.
As well as writing, Lee runs a strategic advisory practice and has spent the last three years working across Africa — in Nairobi, Kigali, Kampala, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Lagos and Cotonou. The continent's energy, complexity and contradictions have found their way into his fiction ever since.
Lee is the author of the Charlie Lockhart thriller series: Fearless, The Smoke Child, Helter Skelter, The Road North, and Prime Target.
