Peter Jarrett-schell

The Rev. Peter Jarrett-Schell is the Pastor of Calvary Episcopal Church, Washington, DC, and a writer. As the white pastor of an historical black congregation, the husband of a black woman, and the father of a bi-racial son, he has wrestled with the question of whiteness for the better part of fifteen years. His 2015 first-hand account of a racial motivated traffic stop was shared more than 30,000 times.
