Jonathan Hanson

My name’s Jon and I’m a science fiction author from Washington State. That’s the state in the Pacific Northwest, not the District in the Atlantic Northeast.

I’ve always loved stories. Nothing is more magical than the fact that you can look at a page, a screen, or the back of your eyelids and find yourself being transported across infinite realms of possibility. Stories like Star Wars, Ender's Game, and Mass Effect taught me to imagine what was possible. They also inspired me to create my own stories.

When I’m not writing, I’m always striving to see more of the world and learn about its many amazing cultures. I’ve also been a sci-fi addict for as long as I can remember. “Gunship Diplomacy” is the result of combining these passions.

While I’m writing this bio in Tri-Cities, Washington, but later this week I’ll be in Seoul, South Korea.
