William K. Leutz

William Leutz, was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 30, 1942. He attended high school in Toledo’s Old West End and graduated from the University of Toledo in June 1965 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. His career in engineering and engineering management spanned over 30 years, followed by ten years as an independent consultant. The career included fifteen years in the International sector, ten of which were spent living in Norway. After retiring in 2004, he was active as a Docent at the Nature Conservancy’s Tall Grass Prairie Preserve and at the Thomas Gilcrease Museum of American History and Art. He was also active in the Tulsa chapter of the Sons of The American Revolution. Following the passing of his wife, Joyce Armstrong-Leutz, he returned to his family summer home on Clark Lake, Michigan where he now resides. His first book, “The Clams Are Still Baking: Memories of Clark Lake,” is a collection of five generations of family stories and experiences in that area. The second book, “What Do You See: Poems of Perception,” is a small collection drawn from over 30 years or his writings.
