Dr. Rochelle Gilbert

Dr. Rochelle Gilbert-Abram is a woman on the MOVE! Creative coach, educational champion, relevant leader, powerful preacher, prolific speaker, game changer, agent of positive social change and servant of the people, is ordained to encourage, educate, equip and empower others to Find Their Voice through enhancing individual self-awareness, leveraging collaborative and innovative thinking, and maximizing personal potential.

Daughter of the late Mr. Charles L. Gilbert and Mrs. Clara Gilbert; Wife of Dr. Sean R. Abram, Dr. Ro, is the President of THERO Initiatives, LLC, founder of Fortitude Enterprises, Inc and CEO of Dr. Ro and Associates. She is the Founder of "I AM - Intentionally Authentically ME." Passionate about helping others to achieve their "NEXT" in Life through Balance and Impact, Dr. Ro’s goal is to move people from what others think and feel about them to the I AM principle, appreciating and embracing all that GOD has created them to be and MORE!

Dr. Ro is a dedicated leader who has shown an uncompromising commitment to service all of her life. Dr. Ro is a visionary educator in every sense of the word, teaching, preaching and leading others. She is a member of Anderson United Methodist Church in Jackson, MS, and member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Monroe, LA. Dr. Ro is also a proud Diamond Life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Having blazed an impressive trail of academic achievement, obtaining a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership, an Executive MBA, both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Educational Administration and Elementary Education respectively. Professionally, she is the Senior Director of Academic Residencies at Walden University and former Dean of Christian Education for the Interdenominational Fellowship of Christian Churches.

Dr. Ro was chosen by her peers as a Global Products and Services Award nominee for Laureate Education, and selected as a Positive Leadership Champion. Dr. Ro was selected to participate in the NOBEL Women Leadership Summit, nominated as Disney’s Teacher of the Year, named an Outstanding Young Woman of America, Who’s Who in American Education, and CLOUT Unsung Hero. Additionally, Dr. Ro has been honored with the Minerva Award of Educational Excellence for her commitment to education; as Lady of Distinction for her exemplary example of Finer Womanhood in the Church, Community, Sorority, and Professional Realms of her life, Rising Star Award for leadership, and Outstanding Woman of Purpose for service, spiritual, and motivational contributions.

Dr. Ro is humbled by the call that God has placed on her life and is passionate about her purpose to lead. She is here today because of the support of her family, commitment to hard work, dedication to continuous professional and personal development, devotion to embracing challenges, and allegiance to teaming! Dr. Ro’s newest focus is the #IAM principle where she says each of us must believe we are “Intentionally & Authentically Made.” She believes in people and wants to see them Champion themselves to their NEXT!

Her favorite scripture is Luke 1:45: “Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished.” By the grace of God, this foundational truth guides all she does, and if she continues to trust and believe in Him, every goal she has will be attained.
