Ramesh Srinivasan

Rajamanickam Srinivasan a.k.a Ramesh Srinivasan was born and raised rural Tamil Nadu (India). He went to a Don Bosco Missionary college to earn his Masters in Social Work. His field work brought him to experience the world of orphans, destitute children, child labor in railway stations and, socially and physically abused children - a world that was not kind to any whom he met.

He carried those impressions and spoke about them (as well as do his small bit for children in any manner he could) through three decades of service in the Air Force. He wrote the impressions down as stories so that he can narrate them to his children and like minded friends. Now, he intends to publish these impressions to bring better awareness in the general populace. He hopes that his efforts with a pen would provide opportunities to serve the cause of disadvantaged and destitute children.

He is a PhD in Political Science, does guest-teaching specially for young people from poor backgrounds to help them prepare for careers in services/civil services. His academic publications span governance, local governance, citizenship, human rights and regional cooperation.

He lives at Coimbatore, India, with his wife who is also a keen socially minded person. She has conducted workshops for teachers in various locations concerning children with LD.
