Acquanetta Moore

My poetry journey began in 1989 at Interlochen Arts Academy in Mrs. Stevens English class.

I would write short poems as a part of our journal entry assignments. During my freshman year there, I became severely depressed. It was poetry and guitar that became my main forms of communication and expression. The gift of written words brought me through.

Fast forward to thirty two years later, I have self-published six books of poetry. The fifth and six are entitled Rollercoasters, Volume One and Volume Two.

Fellow Interlochen Arts Academy alumni, Polly Spenner, did the covers for After the Rain and Rollercoasters, Volume Two.

Canadian Artist, Hakeem Hicks, did the cover art for 5-7-5.
