Benham Azadi

BENHAM AZADI is a rhyming children's author from Teesside, United Kingdom.

Ever since he can remember, Benham has always made up poems and told completely crazy stories to any child that would listen.

In 2002, his first daughter Frances was born, then in 2012, his second daughter Jessica was born. Two perfect, loud, bubbly girls, they would make up funny rhymes, sing songs and make up some of the silliest bedtime stories imaginable.

In 2016, after an accident lead to the passing of his youngest daughter Jessica, many parents and teacher's told stories about Jessica. She would look after other children in her class and always made sure the other children were not left alone or bullied. This was something she definitely got from her big sister Frances!

Benham decided to put these stories together the only way he knew how and began writing his first rhyming children's book. "Have You ever Seen A Grolar Bear?" was written whilst staying with family in Lafayette, Louisiana and the first version was finished in Houston, Texas.

The story sees his beautiful daughters Frances and Jessica introduced to new and different hybrid animals and learn why its so important to be proud of who you are. Since 2016, Benham has written several other independent books, all with the theme of teaching children about new experiences and breaking down fears. The feedback for "Have You Ever Seen A Grolar Bear?" book has been so positive that the Grolar Bear will be BACK in his very own series!!!

Benham lives with his wife Rebecca, in a small village between the industrial town of Middlesbrough, the birthplace of Captain Cook, and the fishing town of Whitby, famous for Bram Stoker's Dracula and great Fish and Chips! Benham graduated from Teesside University in 2006 with a BA (Hons) in Business Studies and currently works in the leisure industry.
