A left-brained software engineer in her previous life, Anu now describes herself as a right-brained creative poet. Originally from India, she has now lived a bigger chunk of her life abroad, and is currently based in New Jersey. She writes mostly about love, life and the ties that bind us. She is the author of two books of poems, Myriad - her maiden attempt at verse, and Neem Leaves - a book in sections, one of which is an elegy dedicated to her mother-in-law.
Anu is the editor of Jaggery Lit., and the Woman Inc., Poetry Editor for the Wild Word and has also read and reviewed poems for the Tiferet Journal, Tupelo Press and Run & Tell That. Writing is her one true passion, rediscovered during life's second innings, and there is nothing else she would rather be doing 24/7. Except for traveling all over, taking long walks in the beautiful garden state, and spending time with her family. She feels that is never too late to pursue what really matters in life, and take it as far as you want it to go.
