Cindy Rhodes

Cindy Rhodes has an eclectic spiritual experience. With centuries of Asian and west African ancestry up until 5 generations ago, her recent northern European ancestry adds a dash of salt to the crazy genetic soup from which this artist/author emerged. Her vast spiritual experiences have led her on winding event-flled roads in her quest to explore this planet. As a certified Spiritual Counselor, she is a member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and registered Holistic Healthcare Practitioner. She's also a certified Art Therapist. Basically, your health – spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical – are important to her!

An avid traveler, she loves road trips and has visited Europe, Australia, and crossed the North American continent many, many times. As an award-winning artist with 4 solo shows under her belt, she graduated summa cum laude from UMO with a B.A. in Art and is hoping for an M.F.A. in Studio Art in the near future. As a lifelong student, she plans to learn and teach for the rest of her life.

Everywhere she goes, she meets people born into different spiritual paths and gets into interesting conversations with people in the strangest of situations - from the brush in the middle of the Denali Road to the side of a river in rural Maine, from serving as a Spanish translator in the Aussie rainforest to teaching block printing in the alien-filled city of Roswell, New Mexico, and so many other places, too many to mention! The openness of others and their sharing of experiences has inspired her to research the interesting histories and social structures of each unique destination.
