Catherine DeMonte

Catherine DeMonte, a California native, left her home town and transferred from college just one year shy of getting a Communications Disorder degree to pursue a degree in Deaf Studies in Southern California at the only college in the nation that offered that degree. She has no deaf relatives, and no background working with the deaf. But courses related to communication acquisition and disorders – which didn’t always exactly capture her heart, and one in American Sign Language – which did, had her feeling she wanted to make the transfer. It was a good choice and she knew she wanted to work with the deaf, or with hearing parents with deaf children in a therapeutic setting. This led to getting an MA degree in Psychology which she received with Highest Honors a week after delivering a baby.

The Psych degree led to starting her private practice in Calabasas and Beverly Hills where she sees individual teens and adults, couples, and families. Through her work helping people lead fuller, more content and self-actualized lives she created 8-session Abundance Circles where participants gather to learn Law of Attraction and manifestation tools. These groups have helped countless participants manifest their deepest desires: long-term partners, extraordinary financial shifts, or long dreamed about projects finally brought to life.

She has written a book and Companion Journal sharing these tools and her participant's extraordinary manifesting stories called “Beep! Beep! Get Out of My Way! Seven Tools for Powerful Creation and Living Your Unstoppable Life.” The Journal made Amazon’s Hot New Releases and #1 spot in its category when it was released.

She did not end up working with the deaf in any capacity although she finds knowing American Sign Language comes in handy at times and is grateful that it was the catalyst for getting her to Southern California and its beaches.
