Arjan Bronkhorst

Arjan Bronkhorst (1972) is a Dutch photographer of architecture and interiors, ranging from 17th Century to modern architecture. His work has been published in books, magazines and newspapers. Key element in his work are the characteristic portraits of residents.

Arjan Bronkhorst is the photographer and publisher of the 500+ page book Wealth of Sobriety, about 20 houses by world known architect Gerrit Rietveld. The book became an important document on Rietvelds designs and was reprinted within 6 months. The photos were displayed by the Centraal Museum at Utrecht.

Arjan Bronkhorst published the celebrated book Amsterdam Canal Houses (Grachtenhuizen), the first print run of which sold out within a month. The photos in this book show the stunning interiors of Amsterdam's city palaces, built in the 17th century, Holland's Golden Age. The book received rave reviews, with the Volkskrant newspaper selecting it as one of the best photography books of the year. The photos were displayed by the Amsterdam Museum. The book has already been reprinted four times.
