Drema Ferrell

Drema Ferrell graduated with honors from Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, acquiring majors in both English and Social Studies. Upon graduation, she taught school in the coal fields of West Virginia, where she was born and raised. Afterwards, she and her husband resided in Europe where he served in the US Army and she taught adult education. They eventually were able to return to southern West Virginia where she managed her husband's CPA firm for 27 years.

Her deep understanding of small communities hidden in the hollows between the steep mountains of the Southern West Virginia coal fields creates the perfect backdrop for her debut novel.
