Scott A. Simpson

Scott Simpson, MD, MPH, is Medical Director of Psychiatric Emergency Services at Denver Health Medical Center and an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. As a practicing emergency psychiatrist and a leader in emergency and consultation-liaison psychiatry, Dr. Simpson appreciates the unique challenge and privilege of working with patients and families in crisis. His work focuses on improving the care of behavioral emergencies, in particular through developing programs and interventions designed to be delivered briefly in high acuity emergency settings. He is also the Founding Program Director of Denver Health's unique Emergency Psychiatry Fellowship (www.denverhealth.org/EPF). Dr. Simpson enjoys hiking and skiing with his family in Colorado.
