Donna Marie Johnson

Donna Marie, also known as Mrs. Padilly, finds magic in gardens, forests, and the little creatures that live there. She writes playful poems and stories about fairies, tiny creatures, and a magical garden that keeps growing new friends.

She once taught grown-ups how to create pictures on a computer; now she writes stories for children. She lives in the forests of Western Kentucky with her husband, Mike, and their silly dog, Roxie the Schnoxie.

In addition to her children’s books, Donna Marie, always on the go, created practical companions for everyday adventures and family life, including a camping journal/RV logbook and a dinner planner with room for 100 of your favorite recipes.

In the fall of 2026, Donna Marie, Mike, and Roxie set out on their greatest adventure yet: completing America's Great Loop aboard their Grand Banks 42' trawler. Follow the voyage at @CruisingOnSerenity.
