ANTHONY BABB

Military history.

Tony served for 23 years in the Royal Navy and is a 1982 Falkland veteran.

For the last 10 years he has been lecturing regularly on cruise ships.

His first book from one of those lectures is a family story about the Royal Navy in WW1, where he was able to give realism to an important part of the war that is little know.

Then he followed that with a WW1 animal story that breaks new ground in understanding how animals were treated then.

He also visited Argentina as a Falklands veteran to view their museum and memorials. The book "Operation Argentina" reveals a great deal about the invasion and the ideology of that country.

Wildlife photographer.

A lifetime interest in wildlife plus many years travelling the world on cruise ships, led to the creation of a very special and unique series of 5 books, each designed for those passengers with similar interests.

Every book is accompanied with a map showing where that species was seen, which helps to plan these special holidays.

All the pictures are taken either from the ship or on tour and have tips for identification purposes. Add to that there are tips about special places that can be visited. Often you can combine exploring the wonder of a country along with some wildlife viewing.

Seeing a real photograph in full colour is so much better than a drawing of the species. Often inset pictures are used to compare breeding, non-breeding and juvenile to assist with identification.
