Geoff Payne (born 1981) grew up in Owensboro, Kentucky and is a 2000 graduate of Owensboro High School, where he dabbled in writing short stories and poetry.
Dedication to passing on the love of reading to his two sons lead Geoff to rekindle his own love of storytelling and write "The Incredible Adventure of Hugh Hound" as a personal project for them. After illustrator Sarah Truman brought the story to life, Geoff has dedicated himself to sharing it - and the love of reading and storytelling - with as many children as possible, reading and speaking at events, libraries, and elementary schools.
He now lives in Lewisport, Kentucky with his wife of 16 years, two sons, and one rotten Australian Shepard named Lady.
