Jon Ferry

Cambridge-educated Jon Ferry has been a correspondent for Reuters news agency, a columnist for the Vancouver Province newspaper and a reporter for the Globe and Mail and Edmonton Journal, where he covered the remote Canadian Arctic. A long-time horse owner, he says the job he enjoyed most was working as a wrangler in Wyoming. But these days he enjoys writing poems about everything from trees that can communicate with each other to humans who can't. He is co-author of Maverick Valley, a contemporary western novel, and of The Olson Murders, the story of a serial killer. He has also authored poetry books Charred Horses, Dark Wood, Puzzled, Hope, Cracked and Waterfall.
