My name is Loxley P.(for Peter) John. I am from the small Caribbean Island of Grenada. Born on June 28,1969, I grew with my mother and six siblings (my father died before I was born).
I attended the Mac Donlad College, a secondary school in the north of the island. At School I enjoyed writing. I would write short stories and essays whether or not I was given assignments by my teachers. I was an avid cricket fan and for a long time I wanted to be a sport journalist for cricket. However when I became a police officer writing and journalism were put on the back burner.
Immediately after leaving school, I enlisted in the Royal Grenada Police Force. I have since risen to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police. I have worked in several departments including the Police Training School where I spent 17 years as an instructor. I have received training locally, regionally and internationally. The training I received ranges from drug interdiction, leadership and management, conflict management, national security among others.
I recently completed an associate degree program with Ashworth College in Human Resource Management.
I have been a Christian since 1998. I love the Lord and I serve in my local Church as Head Deacon.
My hobbies are playing and listening to cricket, reading and writing.
I an Married to Maureen who is also a police officer. I am the father of three lovely daughters Zonelle, Kezia, and Jada
