I am a technical writer/editor. My love for cats prompted me to write this book. I once lost an adopted shelter cat for 8 months. Luckily, my pet, scared and starving, wandered in to a public area and a thoughtful person identified her by the tag on the collar. We were reunited. That episode scared me and left a deep impression.

Homeless cats can lead a very difficult life; one fraught with many dangers, which usually ends in premature death. Needless to say, I am an advocate of animal shelter adoption.
