Britton Barthold was born in Darien, Connecticut, where he grew up for 17 years. He graduated from Indiana University in 2020 with a degree in English. He plans to begin graduate school at Eastern Michigan University beginning in the August of 2021.
His first book, "12: The Story of the 2015 Darien High School Football Team" is a non-fiction memoir about his high school football years in the polarizing town of Darien, Connecticut. The book was released in August of 2018 to local acclaim, with the research and insights on life within the controversial town and the issues of drugs and alcohol that plague the community being at the forefront of the reviews.
He followed that with a 61-page personal essay titled "The Lawrence Years", which follows his three years coaching Little League baseball in high school. The essay was released in May of 2019 for a limited time.
His next project, a novel titled "Castles in the Air", will be released in the Summer of 2021.
