Kristina Evans

Kristina Evans spent her childhood in Wales, a land of ancient myths, and while the adults shared tales at the local pub, she stayed at home with spirits of a more mysterious kind. Her grandmother shielded her from the unknown but their presence was hard to ignore. Until the family moved to Australia.

The barrier strengthened as time passed and a connection with horses provided peace. But horses, also, led her into the forest where a boy crossed her path and changed her life. Kristina was asked to work in a shop and experienced boredom. Seeking escape, she reached for a book and that was when she heard a curious voice within her mind. To hush the chatter, she opened her daughter’s scrapbook and began to write.

For a moment, the voice vanished but once pen was put to paper, Kristina knew a story was weaving together that was no longer about her daughter. Instead, each word carried curious messages for others so she followed her heart and left the shop. The author began to travel to other countries to find the origins of the ones who once lived amongst us. There were lessons to learn and messages appeared in the most unforeseen forms. One connection was truly unexpected as a story formed when Kristina Evans travelled to Lapland and crossed paths with a reindeer, Nik.
