Alexandre Rampazo

Alexandre Rampazo was born in São Paulo, Brazil. Graduated in graphic design and worked as art director is author of picturebooks.

Alexandre has written and illustrated: Silêncio; Orbitar; Coisas para deslembrar; O que é que isso é?; Imensamente pequeno; Eustáquio, o mágico magnífico; Um belo lugar; Pinóquio – O livro das pequenas verdades; Se eu abrir esta porta agora… ; Aqui, bem perto; A cor de Coraline; Este é o Lobo among other six works of authorship, has also illustrated for many other authors, accounting approximately 70 edited books.

Rampazo received consacrated literary prizes such as IBBY Honour List 2022 (Switzerland); Prêmio Jabuti; Prêmio FNLIJ; Prêmio Biblioteca Nacional; Prêmio APCA; Premio Fundación Cuatrogatos (USA); Nami Concours 2023 – shortlist (Korea); Selo Altamente Recomendável FNLIJ; Troféu Monteiro Lobato; Selo Cátedra Unesco; Clube de Leitura ODS da ONU; and projects prizes in the CANNES LIONS 2016 (France); Facebook Awards 2016 (USA); has been selected for 26th Biennal of Illustrations Bratislava (Slovakia), his oeuvres in lists such as “30 best children’s books” for Crescer magazine and many works selected for IBBY/FNLIJ’s Selection Bologna Children’s Book Fair catalog. Alexandre Rampazo has editions of some of his books in Brazil, Latin America and Europe.
