Ari Stocrate

Ari was born November 8th 1993 in Paris, France.
She grew up with artist parents and a lot of animals: cats, dogs, guinea pigs, mice, rabbits, rats, birds, lizards… She started drawing at an early age, until she discovered movies. She put down her crayons and picked up a camera to film her friends and family in comedic shorts. She eventually went back to drawing after directing a feature film and working in the movie industry for a bit. Until she (re)discovered books, and started writing the things she couldn’t draw…

Her interests include dinosaurs, leftovers, rainstorms & befriending crows from her balcony.

Previous works: Ari’s Thread, Johnny Vampire, Rituals & Entities, Sally & Bean, Bean the stretchy dragon.

Stay tuned for her next novel called The Spirit Detective taking place in 1940’s Chicago!
