I have always written, good times and bad. It is a way to explore, and escape, to take your mind to another place, a place that I can control.

When I was young I used to walk home from school and pass beneath a railway bridge, on the odd occasion that a train was passing overhead, I used to dream of it taking me away to another world, so my imagination has always been there, and I have allowed it to remain, despite the efforts of the world to diminish it.

I did philosophy and writing at university, my dream to incorporate philosophy into fiction, but now I just enjoy the opportunity to write.

Guy of Waering is the first book set in the fictional land of Rodina, and over the coming years I intend to add to the series. The next book will be the first of the chronicles of Rodina, though I will return to continue the story of Guy, for his is a story that has been told for a thousand years.
