Rick Quinn

Born in Queens Village, New York in 1951 and raised on Long Island, this American children’s book author discovered the power of storytelling at an early age. Educated in Catholic grammar schools, public high school, and later attending Clemson University, he developed a deep appreciation for language, journalism, and illustrated storytelling.

Inspired by classic newspaper sports columns, political commentary, and beloved comic strips like Peanuts and Doonesbury, he cultivated a writing style that blends heart, humor, and meaningful life lessons. His passion for literacy began when he learned to read by matching sports photographs with their captions, an experience that shaped his mission as a children’s author.

Today, he writes engaging, educational children’s books designed to spark curiosity, strengthen vocabulary development, and encourage a lifelong love of reading. His stories focus on friendship, courage, diversity, emotional growth, and early learning, helping young readers build confidence while exploring the world around them.

Through imaginative adventures and relatable characters, his books inspire children to embrace curiosity, overcome fears, and celebrate equality.
