C M Harris

C.M. Harris is an award-winning children’s author, disability advocate, and the founder and CEO of Purple Diamond Press Inc. She creates meaningful, inclusive stories that help children feel seen, valued, and confident in who they are.

Her debut title, What If We Were All The Same!, was written as a love letter to the child she once was and sold more than 20,000 copies during its first year. She is now the author of more than 30 children’s books, including the What If We Were All series and the YOU MATTER series.

Her books explore kindness, empathy, curiosity, self-worth, cultural identity, family diversity, and disability representation. Her work has received an Amazon Teacher’s Pick designation and an IBPA Silver Award, and has been recognized by ABC7 Los Angeles, BBC CBeebies, and the San Francisco 49ers, who distributed more than 2,000 copies of her books to young readers.
