John Ryland

John Ryland is an author with a unique Southern flair, shaped by his humble beginnings in rural Alabama. His natural, unencumbered prose and shadowy southern style have made him a fan favorite. His work has been called “In the vein of M. Night Shyamalan and Alfred Hitchcock.”

John has eleven books in print and has been a finalist for the Silver Falchion Award (The Unkindness of Ravens) The Claymore Award (Family Tree) and a Top Pick at the Killer Nashville Author Convention (The Muck). His novel Three Nights at the Jupiter climbed to #1 in New Releases in American Horror when it debuted. Sixteen of his shorter works have appeared in national and international publications, journals, and anthologies.

**P.S. There is a 17th-century Baptist Preacher by the same name. That is a different John Ryland. **
