Denise Lopez

Denise Lopez, PhD (also known as Dr. Patricia “Denise” Lopez) is a passionate teacher, lifelong learner, and all-around curious person. One of her missions to develop great leaders and build workplaces to which people can bring their best and most enthusiastic selves.

Denise was born and raised in the Philippines, finished her doctorate in New York, and currently resides in California. She is Professor of Organizational Psychology at Alliant International University where she teaches and conducts research in leadership, work motivation and productivity, team effectiveness, and organizational change management. Over the last 25 years, Denise has taught, trained, coached and consulted with diverse managers, teams and organizations in the United States and Asia-Pacific. She received her PhD in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University Teachers College and has a coaching credential from the International Coaching Federation. She is a founding partner of Global Thought Partners, an organizational consulting and advisory firm.

As an organizational consultant, Denise is known for her strategic perspective, analytic thinking, and ability to facilitate engaging and productive workshops. As a leadership coach and trainer, her unique strength is her ability to deliver engaging discussions and design creative learning opportunities that deepen personal awareness and growth and identify concrete opportunities and solutions for personal and organizational success.

In her leisure time, Denise loves traveling, the outdoors, art, music and dance. She likes volunteering for various community projects especially those focused on education, animals and the environment. She enjoys reading books from almost all genres, especially literature, historical fiction and mystery/adventure.
