After Gerald accepted an early retirement offer from his employer, he found himself un-informed on several important aspects of retiring – with the most significant question being, "How much can I spend next year in retirement, without detrimentally affecting my long-term income needs?” Saving was all he knew, but retirement was quite different. It was SPENDING! So he set off to find the answer to this main question but also uncovered important information on Medicare, social security, and taxes. He documents it all here in an easy to understand approach. Gerald continues to use these methods in his retirement planning successfully.

Gerald holds a master's degree in Finance and has taught both graduate and undergraduate level college courses in business, finance, and research.
