Heather Hammond

Heather Hammond is a prolific and immensely popular composer. There are many books available of Heather's popular music for young instrumentalists. These include collections for piano, clarinet, saxophone and flute at various grades.

Heather worked with Karen Marshall to produce a series of 4 books, 'Get Set! Piano' (pub. Collins) tutor books for beginners to grade 1 level. The series was a finalist for Best Print Resource at the Music Teacher Awards for Excellence (2014).

Also with Karen Marshall she co-authored 'The Intermediate Pianist' (3 books pub. Faber). It was awarded the overall winner of the Best Print Resource at the Music Teacher Awards for Excellence (2018).

The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London College and Trinity have all included Heather's pieces in their examination syllabuses.

Other series of books include 'Cool Piano', 'Funky Flute', 'Super Sax' and 'Cool Clarinet' (pub. Kevin Mayhew Ltd.).

Publications with EVC Music include 'Grooves For Piano Dudes', 'Ballads Without Words' 1 & 2, and 'Piano Ole'.
