Ashley Elizabeth Mitchell
Ashley Elizabeth Mitchell is a born and raised Mainer. She resides in Penobscot County, Maine with her husband, five children, dog, and cat. Ashley has been a Poetry Nation finalist numerous times. She has a Masters of Teaching Ministries, Bachelor of Career Counseling, and a Bachelor of Homeschooling Ministries. Ashley Mitchell and her daughter Lily-Rebecca performed at Maine Humanities Council's Poetry Express in Lincoln, Maine in the summer of 2018. Ashley serves on her town's events and tourism committee, library advisory committee, and is the vice president of her local library friends group. Ashley has served with the nonprofit Grieve Out Loud as a long term penpal helping fellow mothers cope with their miscarriages and stillborn babies. Ashley is a certified Madriella Doula.

Ashley enjoys the outdoors, volunteering, homeschooling her children and spending time at home with her family. She enjoys cross-stitching and being a scout leader for her children. You can see Ashley around town on her bright pink bike or in her minivan full of kids.
