Caitlin Finlayson, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor of Geography at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Her research areas include the geography of religion, food geographies, and explorations of geographic theory and methodology. She is also involved in faculty development, with a focus on pedagogical research and open educational resources. She loves working with undergraduate students on research projects and teaches a variety of courses, including World Regional Geography, Quantitative Methods in Geography, and Southern Foodways.
Caitlin is a native of St. Petersburg, Florida and now lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia with her husband, who is also a faculty member at the University of Mary Washington, and their two children.
