Tyler Barnes

Tyler Barnes is a children's book author and digital marketing professional. He was born in southwest Missouri. He writes children's books whenever he feels like being a kid again. Tyler lives in Kansas City. He and his wife, Fran, have a son, Bruce, and two corgis who rule their life, Rufio and Brock Lee.

Tyler's first book, Ole Mr. Bubs Grubs Learns to be Brave, is a story he dreamt up in 2013 while walking his dog Rufio on a cold winter day. In Welsh legend it is said that corgis were the mounts of the fairies and that they would ride them into battle as their steeds. Having called his chubby corgi "Ole Mr. Bubs Grubs" for quite a while, Tyler imagined a world where reality and fantasy coincided.

Tyler has been telling stories since third grade (with his epic three part novel "Desk Wars"). Whether it's through writing, advertising or roleplaying games he loves to share new worlds with his family and friends. He is an avid boardgame fan who will talk your ear off about his latest game.
