John A. Cleveland

John A. Cleveland is a lifelong outdoorsman. He first started hunting in the late 1960's, at age sixteen, for whitetail deer. He bagged his first buck the following year. He has hunted deer, upland birds and waterfowl ever since and began hunting elk in Montana in the mid-1970's. When he moved to Colorado in 1978, he started hunting elk in earnest. This book is the story of his steep learning curve and the many lessons learned over a forty-year period of elk hunting. He resides in Littleton, CO on a small ranch with his wife, dogs and horses.
