A native Ohioan, Tim Armstrong was born in Mansfield, on October 18, 1963.
A 1982 graduate of Mansfield Christian High School, Tim’s original pursuit was directed towards the field of business. However, after a short time, he became convinced that the Lord’s direction for his life was in the ministry. He graduated from Cedarville University in 1989 with a Pre-Seminary Degree.
Tim and his wife, Michelle were married in 1991 and have twin daughters, McKenna Kate and Isabelle Grace and a twelve-year-old son, Jack.
Tim entered Dallas Theological Seminary in the Fall of 1992 and graduated four years later with a Masters of Theology (Th.M). Upon graduating from seminary in 1996, Tim led a group of thirty people and founded Crossroads Community Church in Mansfield, Ohio.
In July of 2014, Tim became the 5th Senior Pastor of The Chapel in Akron, Ohio. For more than 80 years, The Chapel has been a historic, Christ-centered church in Akron, Ohio. The Chapel has campuses in Akron, Green, Wadsworth, Kenmore, and Cuyahoga Falls and they have a combined worship attendance of over 6500 people each weekend. Tim’s vision, with God’s leading, is to add additional campuses throughout NE Ohio in the years to come so that people will come to know Christ.
Tim is also the pastor-speaker of the radio program, The Worthy Walk. This program currently broadcasts in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Indiana. The goal of The Worthy Walk is to reach the lost with the Gospel of Christ via the airwaves.
