Jessica Lippe

Jessica Lippe was born and raised in Southern Oregon but has also lived in Nebraska, Ohio, Colorado, Missouri, and currently San Diego County, California. She’s visited dozens more states and dozens more countries spanning four continents, but hopes to see all seven someday.

Jessica is a nonprofit worker, currently serving as a program and education manager at a camp and outdoor education center. Nonprofit organizations are notorious for not making much money, and their workers are known for making even less than that, but Jessica has found ways to stretch what she does get to travel far and wide. And if you haven’t figured it out from her list of published books, she moonlights as an author.

She’s come quite a long way from when she started writing professionally in high school, which was sparked by writing comical poetry during boring math lectures. If she knew she’d later find a passion for traveling on a number-filled budget, perhaps she would’ve paid more attention in math class. At least she stayed alert in her writing and geography classes.
