Brandy Thompson

Brandy Thompson is an education curriculum writer in Germantown, TN. She is the author and creator of TheCounselingTeacher.com where she shows school counselors how to reach students through games, crafts, and interactive lessons. She obtained a bachelor of arts degree in psychology at the University of Memphis, a master of teaching degree at Freed Hardeman in Henderson, TN, and a master of education in school counseling from The University of Tennessee Martin.

She began her education career in 2007 teaching 2nd, 4th, and 8th grade. Discovering her passion for the social emotional needs of children, she transitioned into School Counseling in 2014. Together with her counseling partner, Carla Christian, her school counseling program was awarded the Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) award in 2016 from the American School Counseling Association.
