Marcia Johnson

Marcia Camp Johnson was born in LaGrange, Georgia. Her parents were hardworking and gentile Southerners; descendants of early settlers in Virginia from England, Ireland, and Scotland. A graduate of the University of Alabama, she worked for over 35 years in the life and health insurance industry. During her career she had the privilege of working with Dr. Marius Barnard of South Africa to introduce Critical Illness Insurance to the United States. Ms. Johnson had a desire to be an educator and work with small children but her chosen career and other life events kept her from pursuing that wish. After leaving her corporate career she began developing ideas for children's books. "Little Xena's Amazing Day" is her first book, capturing her love for animals, her volunteer spirit, and her desire to create stories to teach children lessons in kindness and compassion.
