Sammi Max Silber

Sammi Max Silber is a journalist, author and poet. She was born and raised in Maryland, growing up in a tight-knit family that consisted of her mother and sister. She'd write stories on pieces of tape and not pay the closest attention in school, writing short stories in her journal, reading or daydreaming rather than doing assignments.

Going through a number of phases where she wanted to be a musician, a cartoonist and a producer, she was ultimately inspired to become a writer after being cut from her high school soccer team. From there, Sammi took up journalism and screenwriting and ultimately, she decided to write her first novel junior year after going on a technological purge. By the time she graduated, she had written three books, including two novels and one poetry collection.

Sammi later attended the University of Maryland, College Park, majoring in journalism with a history concentration while covering sports, mainly ice hockey. Before finishing school, she penned "Juicebox Hero." Sammi works as a digital sports producer, continuing her career in sports journalism and writing fiction/poetry at the same time.

Following more world travels and unexpected life events, Sammi most recently penned "To The Sound," which had been in progress for two years and was originally titled "Plans."
