Paul R. E. Jarvis is the author of historical fiction and fast-paced action thrillers, including Gone Tomorrow, The Danzig Corridor and Colony.
Originally from South Wales, Paul now lives in Leeds with his wife and two children. He has practised medicine in the United Kingdom for more than twenty years, drawing upon his encounters with people from all walks of life to create authentic characters under extraordinary pressure.
Paul began writing during breaks on hospital wards, using fiction as an escape from the demands of clinical medicine. His debut novel, The Danzig Corridor, was published in 2019, followed by Colony in 2020. His latest novel, Gone Tomorrow, is a deeply human story of friendship and sacrifice during the First World War, inspired by real events and grounded in war diaries, regimental records and family history.
As his work now frequently takes him overseas, much of his writing is done at 30,000 feet.
