John Fennell enjoys writing fantasy adventure stories for children, the sort of page-turners he himself loved as a child, and which he now enjoys reading to his own children. In his stories, he likes to put his heroes in seemingly impossible situations, and then describe how they manage to emerge victorious by the skin of their teeth.

John Fennell is the author of THE MYSTICAL MIRROR trilogy. The first book, THE BOY IN THE MIRROR, won first place for children’s fiction in the 2020 Incipere Awards. The second book, THE BOOK OF MYSTERIES, and the third and final instalment, GUARDIANS OF THE MIRROR, are also available on Amazon.

His latest series of books, THE ROMAN TIME MACHINE, follows the adventures of two schoolchildren, who are thrown back in time to Ancient Rome. Book 1, VESUVIUS, won first place in the 2021 Incipere Awards for YA fantasy, and second place for children’s fiction. It has also won the Red Ribbon Award in the 2021 Wishing Shelf Awards for children’s fiction.

Book 2, THE PROPHECY, and Book 3, THE DRUID OF BRITANNIA, are now also available, with many more adventures still to come.

He currently lives in Berkshire, England, with his lovely wife and their two wonderful sons.
