I've always liked writing, it brings out the creative side of me. Our dog Izzie had an interesting puppy phase, being a stray in Dublin, so I wrote her story (see 'A Small Dog Story'). Then I thought it would be fun if Izzie became a specialist Space Dog and helped save people from galactic criminals, so I have written 'Izzie and the Martian Adventure' and see 'Izzie and the Space Pirates).

As Izzie was a Hearing Dog candidate that didn't make the grade, I donate the royalties to the Hearing Dog for Deaf People charity. To date 480 books have been sold. It costs a lot to train a dog so I like to think the money raised has paid for an ear. My ambition is to pay for the rest of the dog.

I also like history and Guernsey, so what better than to write an historical novel set in Guernsey in 1792, when the French Revolution was waging just a short boat ride away. Smuggler's Honour is a story of smuggling, espionage, romance and treachery.
